The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol is a volunteer company which operates under the structure of the Greenwich Fire Department in the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut. The company conducts traffic operations, scene control, salvage, lighting, and other support functions for the fire department at calls for service. The Patrol is under the command of its own Chief. In the 2005-2006 election year, the company responded to 1421 calls and provided the town with 6,680 man hours. The patrol currently has a 2004 Pierce heavy rescue truck which is known as Patrol 2. The company is located at the Cos Cob Firehouse (Station 2).

March 20th
We would like to congratulate three CCFPP company members, Mike, Scott, and Jason for passing their Connecticut State DOT Q Endorsement certification. With these additions, our company now has eight members qualified to drive large fire apparatus such as our primary vehicle, Patrol 2.


March 17th
Members and apparatus of the Cos Cob Fire Police responded to more than 150 incidents and provided hundreds of man hours during the major storm which started on Saturday the 13th.


March 2nd
Patrol 2 responded to an accident involving a tractor trailer and a minivan on I-95 at exit 6 in Stamford along with other units from Sound Beach, Cos Cob, and Greenwich. Utility 2 was later called to the scene to assist Patrol 2 and State Police with traffic control and lighting. Time on scene was 5 hours. Click Here to view photos.


February 8th
We are pleased to announce Utility 2 has been completed and has been placed into service.


January 8th
Utility 2’s striping and lettering has been completed. The truck is now away having warning lights and radios installed. This is expected to take several weeks. We are looking to get the vehicle into service in February.
