The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol is a volunteer company which operates under the structure of the Greenwich Fire Department in the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut. The company conducts traffic operations, scene control, salvage, lighting, and other support functions for the fire department at calls for service. The Patrol is under the command of its own Chief. In the 2005-2006 election year, the company responded to 1421 calls and provided the town with 6,680 man hours. The patrol currently has a 2004 Pierce heavy rescue truck which is known as Patrol 2. The company is located at the Cos Cob Firehouse (Station 2).

News
January 8th
Utility 2’s striping and lettering has been completed. The truck is now away having warning lights and radios installed. This is expected to take several weeks. We are looking to get the vehicle into service in February.


January 4th
We are pleased to report that Utility 2 has gone out to be striped and lettered. The warning lights should be ready to be installed shortly afterwards. The schedule has fallen slightly back from what we initially anticipated, but given the holiday season, we are pleased work on the vehicle now continues.


November 29th
The manufacturing phase of Utility 2 has now been completed and the truck has been delivered to the company. It will now be sent out to various vendors to install the warning lights, communication radios, and to be lettered and striped.


November 11th
The annual meeting has been held with all officers returning to their previous posts with the exception of Assistant Treasurer; John Timm has been elected to that position.


October 28th
The build of the new Utility 2 is progressing nicely and remains on schedule. The body, manufactured by Dejana Truck and Utility Equipment, has been completed and is currently being mated to the truck chassis, a Ford F550 crew cab at their Long Island, NY facility.
